- A Khamseh small carpet
- approximately 8ft. 11in. by 6ft. (2.72 by 1.83m.)
Condition
Pile is generally good, dense, approximately 1/6 of an inch throughout. Some scattered minor foldwear, not extensive. Some scattered moth damaged areas, with the largest being approximately 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch in central medallion. Further moth damaged area nearby. Another approximately 1 inch by 1 inch moth damaged area in upper right corner of field and one of similar size in bottom white medallion, both with exposed foundation and small hole. Small 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch hole in right side guard border. Lower end guard borders and guard stripes with restitching and small holes in a 4 inch by 4 inch area, now secured with cloth edges sewn on reverse. Sides overcast. Ends secured with binding stitch. Supple handle, lustrous wool, sound fabric and condition.
