with applied Hamadan border

Condition

Comprised of four fragments sewn together. The Hamadan border also consists of four panels. Pile is generally low to knotheads throughout, with some areas of visible spot foundation. Oxidized dark browns in areas. Scattered foldwear and surface wear. Warps and wefts mostly visible in worn areas. Visible lazy lines, most through dark blue areas. Later Hamadan border also with surface abrasions and foldwear. All sides overcast with losses to selvages throughout. Small nicks and fraying to some areas along sides; recommend securing. Supple handle, striking geometric design, sound fabric, will enhance with cleaning and restoration to sides.
