Condition

Pile is good, generally closely sheared 1/8 of an inch with dark browns oxidized to knotheads and spot foundation. Scattered foldwear also low to knotheads, most visible in open field with minor old repiling. A 3 inch by 1 inch reweave in lower right corner. 6 inches of lower end guard stripe rewoven. Original two-cord faded madder selvages with losses and some later overcasting. Ends missing half of lower guard border and upper dark brown guard stripe and a quarter of the upper guard border. Very supple handle, good overall condition, fresh sea greens and soft aubergines.
