Condition
Canvas is sound with some areas of water damage to the reverse. One minor crack to the lower left edge. Some frame erosion and associated paint loss to the edges and to the lower right corner. Inconsistencies of paint texture to the left edge where the work has been repainted Slight scattering of craquelure throughout but otherwise in good overall condition. Ultraviolet light reveals patches of retouching throughout, particularly to the left edge. Held in an ornate, gold-painted moulded plaster and wood frame.
