Condition
The canvas has been lined. There are some minor signs of craquelure to the paint surface and some light stretcher marks in places. There are some extremely minor flecks of paint loss to one or two areas of the sky visible on very close inspection. There is some minor surface dirt. and a discoloured varnish to the surface. Otherwise in good condition. Ultraviolet light revels an area of retouching towards the left hand edge corresponding to a stretcher mark. There are some further scattered spots of cosmetic retouching in the sky area, to the water and some minor spots elsewhere. Held in a decorative gold painted frame with some minor losses to the moulding at the extreme edges.
