Condition
Original canvas. There are two patches to the reverse, lower centre and lower left. Scattered craquelure particulalry to the paint in the sky area and some signs of minor paint lifting in this area. A horizontal stretcher mark is visible along the upper border. UV light reveals a line of retouching (approx 3in.) to an area of old paint loss along the upper right border. Held in a decorative gilded composite frame.
