Canvas has been relined. There is extensive frame abrasion and associated paint loss to all four edges. There is also a vertical line of paint loss, approximately one inch deep, running through the centre of the work. Further areas of paintloss to the male figure, the upper right corner and elsewhere. Craquelure throughout the work, most noticable to the female figure. Ultraviolet light reveals a scattering of retouching throughout. This work is unframed.
