Condition

The canvas appears original. There are stretch marks visible to each side, and areas of abrasion to the surface of the work, possibly due to overcleaning and wear. Surface dirt. Ultraviolet light reveals areas of potential retouching under a heavy, patchy varnish. Held in a simple dark wood frame.
