of octagonal form with a hinged cover, decorated with lilac blue, green, yellow, white, turquoise, pink and red enamels and engraved with scrolls and floral vases bordered by foliate bands, the base with an oval plaque with a bouquet of roses, the cover with a roundel portrait of Sultan Abd al-Majid on horseback encircled by a pearl and ruby border
