of flattened spherical form with a spreading pedestal foot and tall tapering neck, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and red slip with linked palmette-shaped panels of interlacing arabesques in red with attached palmette pendants in blue against a background of flowering plants, the flanks decorated with floral sprays in red, the neck with later Qajar-period engraved brass mount
