Description
a twelfth-century Persian rectangular turquoise tile moulded in relief with rampant beasts and a band of floral relief; a star-tile of thirteenth-century Kashan production with a camel in relief against a lustre ground with a border of white inscription against a blue ground; an hexagonal tile of fifteenth-century Syrian production, in turquoise, cobalt blue, white and black with a central floral spray; a fifteenth-century Safavid cuerda seca tile in yellow with polychrome floral sprays in blues, green and white
Condition
In fair condition, star tile with large break, cracks and losses to all, surface wear and abrasion, irridesence to turquoise tile, craquelure to Damascus hexagonal tile, as viewed.
