Description

of shallow form with everted rim on wide footring, the red earthenware body incised with a central medallion enclosing a pair of birds against a scale ground with concentric borders of paired leaves and pseudo-inscriptions, covered with copper green and manganese purple splashed glazes

Condition

Two hairline cracks running to the centre with minimal repair, glaze frits and chips, surface rubbing concentrated on the interior, as viewed
