Condition
Canvas is lined. SURFACE: in good condition, generally; some thinning to canvas is lighter areas (door, blankets on bed), but overall there is good retention of pigment and one can see the delineation of brushtrokes; canvas buckles slightly on stretcher UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: hard to read restoration--there are a few scattered small spots of inpaint at upper left; there may be a bit of restoration at the mother's neck and just under the chair--difficult to see through dark pigments and old varnish
