Catalogue Note
Little Lady of the Sea, conceived in 1913, was exhibited by Scudder at the Paris Salon of that year. She subsequently included an example her first one-man show held in November 1913 at the Theodore B. Starr Galleries in New York. According to the Roman Bronze Works, the present bronze is one of nine examples cast in 1914.
