Canvas is lined. SURFACE: in fairly good condition; relining has compressed surface, although there is still good pigment and color retention; craquelure throughout (flattened and stable from relining) UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: although it's difficult to see through dark pigments and old varnish--picture appears to be mostly clean, a few scattered spots of inpainting, mostly craquelure fill-in
