Condition

SURFACE: in good condition; as mentioned above, the lower half of the signature is cut-off UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: face and neck are clean; a few spots of inpaint scattered in background; a small repaired tear (about 1/4 in. long) in his red costume at l.r.--frame is hand carved with an incized inscription: "M. Steele/ 6/14/1984"
