Condition

Canvas is not lined. SURFACE: in good condition, overall; scattered craquelure (work is painted with thick impasto) and a few places with cupping, where flaking appears imminent (at chest of large female figure at left; at lower right and around hat of male figure reading newspaper at right)--a few tiny losses from flaking already in these areas; one small, unrelated loss at upper right (near upper edge) UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: a few scattered spots of inpaint for losses (at upper right; on larger woman's torso and at lower right)
