Tambour de poitrine nfunkula, en forme de tonnelet caractéristique, la caisse de résonance largement ouverte à la base et percée sur le côté d'un trou de jeu, la membrane de percussion en peau de varan fixée par des fines chevilles en bois, le bouton tronconique percé d'un trou de suspension. Il est orné d'une large frise champlevée dont les registres alternent lignes en chevrons et le motif récurrent de l'esthétique Tabwa, fait de triangles isocèles jumelés. Très belle patine sombre, profonde.
