Condition

good condition overall; all cowries originally attached to the antelopes missing as seen on photographs; cut on bottom of base, apparently even out for mounting, subsequently, however, mounted on fibre structure (we do not believe that the fibre structure is original to the sculpture); permanently mounted on base; nicks and scratches, wear and teasr from traditional handling throughout; aged medium brown patina with traces of bee wax.
