  • 129.3 by 43.2 cm
of elongated ovoid form, the convex front with central ridge running longitudinally, decorated with traditional designs in red and white pigment, pierced twice near the centre for attachment, the concave reverse undecorated replete with adze markings and old shiny patina overall, glossy in some areas of the rim

Condition

The shield appears in very good order with no evidence of repairs or restoration. There are two small eyelets screwed in for suspension
