Description

  • Length: 49.5 cm
the male figure standing on oval feet with squat legs inset at the knees with circular haliotis shell, beneath protruding buttocks and an arched torso with large three-fingered hands clasped at the front, and surmounted by a large ovoid head with elaborate incised tattooing (moko), the back fashioned as a typical flat slab, fine dark ochre-brown patina
