Description

  • Length: 73 cm
of elongated, ovoid form and plano-convex section, the curved front decorated with traditional motifs in red, white and yellow earth pigments outlined in black, the reverse, undecorated with cut lug handle and painted in black pigment

Condition

The pigment on the sheild is faded, aged and relatively stale. There are many areas of pigment loss, scratches and rubbing. The reverse has a nail in one end for suspension
