Condition
The majority of the pigment is in stable condition though the painting has suffered considerably over its lifetime, there are a number of instances of surface cracks and many areas of pigment loss found throughout the surface. The bark is glued at the back to two wooden supports for suspension. We suggest that the work be professionally conserved following sale
