  • Lengths: 63.5 cm, 65 cm
both of flattened leaf-like form with wooden pegs attached with spinifex resin at the tip and tapering to a handle surmounted with spinifex resin to form a grip, the front of the blades both finely incised with traditional linear motifs, the reverse of one with fine adze marking and further traditional engravings the other undecorated broad adze markings and several fine notches to one edge; old shiny patina

Condition

One of teh speartips has a significant chunk of resin missing in the lower area of tip (visible in the online illustration), and also at the base of the hanle, otherwise both spearthrowers appear in good condition.
