- Lengths: 70.5 cm, 62.5 cm
the shield carved in hardwood of elongated ovoid form, the gently curving convex front carved with fluted designs divided into three sections to form a zig-zag motif, the bands infilled alternately with pale and dark earth pigments, the reverse engraved with fluted striations with fine loop handle, with two prominent kangaroo sinew bush repairs at the base; the boomerang carved in hardwood of plano-convex section, the entire surface replete with fine adze markings and decorated on both sides in red and white ochres

Condition
The shield has two significant cracks extending from the lower register both of which have been repaired using kangaroo sinew. The pigments are worn and thereare minor areas of damage and cracking to the edges.
The boomerang has no visible repairs or restoration with the pigments worn significantly in many areas.
