Condition
The painting has had no restoration or repairs and the majority of the pigment is stable apart from a significant area of pigment loss and cracking in the top left hand register of the painting approximately 25 to 30 cm diagonally in from the left hand corner. There is another small area of pigment loss over a 15 mm area approximately 30 cm directly down from the top right hand corner and another area of pigment loss on the lower margin approximately 20 cm from the bottom right hand corner and there are many foreign bodies including vegetable matter, insects and hairs impregnated in the paint throughut the surface
