Description
delicately potted with shallow rounded sides covered on the exterior with a brilliant opaque lemon-yellow glaze, the interior with a white glaze and the six-character reign mark written on the base within a double circle in underglaze blue

Condition
The pair is in very good condition overall, apart from one bowl which has two short hairline cracks, the longer approx 2cm, extending down from the rim. The bowls are very well matched in size and glaze. The actual colour is very close to the colour depicted in the catalogue.

A closely related pair of Yongzheng lemon-yellow glazed bowls, formerly in the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Lilly, was sold in our New York rooms, 2nd June 1993, lot 334.
