Condition
STRUCTURE
The board has bowed slightly but is otherwise in good condition.
PAINT SURFACE
There are lines of indentation in the paint surface along the upper and lowed edges where a frame has rubbed against the wet paint. There are areas of dirt and surface deposits which may benefit from a light clean.
ULTRAVIOLET
UV light reveals no sign of retouching.
FRAME
Held in a decorative composition frame which has sustained some abrasions.

Coborn Street is in Bow in the East End of London, off the Mile End Road and only a few roads away from Ford Road depicted in the previous lot. Steggles had an intimate knowledge of London's streets and had studied at Bow Evening Institute.
