Condition

STRUCTURE Original canvas. PAINT SURFACE There is a chip to the varnish, centre of the top edge. A slightly discoloured varnish throughout. Otherwise in good stable condition. ULTRAVIOLET UV light reveals flourescing to the upper left quadrant and scattered spots throughout, probably old retouching. FRAME Held in an ornate gilded composite frame. Under glass and unexamined out of frame.
