Description

  • 92cm. high.
modelled in full round, the trapezoid central piece with satyrs and female masks, the base centred by a queen seated on a lion, probably Ariadne, flanked by putti and dragons

Condition

In reasonably good condition, cast in three parts, joints slightly loose, each chenet lacking one dragon head finial and paw feet of each outer dragon, one small putto lacking arm, each putto lacking staff/shaft supposed to be holding in one hand, queens and two putti with small metal loss to legs, metal surface under lions of one chenet restored and one with small metal loss, one large putto lacking parts of 'wood' branches.
