  • Portrait of a lady, bust length, wearing a blue dress, with a flower garland in her hair

  • 492 by 433 mm.

Condition

The actual pastel is softer in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. The paper is laid down on paper. A few tiny pinholes are visible along the lower edge. Two small damages are visible along the lower and right edges. There's a small horizontal tear of approx. 1 cm. visible in the lower centre, The paint surface is slightly abraded in the background and in the blue dress. A few stains are visible along the lower edge, and there's a thin surface scratch in the sitter's chin. Offered in a decorative gilt wood frame with a glass plate, in good condition. (MW)
