comprising two armchairs and eight side chairs, Losses to caning, decoration restored.

Condition

Restored condition, painting refreshed in places, some cracquelure and minor flaking to gilding overall, some small chips and wear to the painted surface overall, old worm damage to rails, legs and to stiles, the first armchair with back left caster loose but present, part of splat slightly loose at join with left stile, later corner blocks; the second armchair showing plugs and lines of repair to each arm, later corner blocks; one side chair with later tenons to front legs at join with front rail; one side chair with two plugs to front left leg at join with seat rail, caning broken; one side chair with plugs to front left leg and to back legs at joins with seat rails, two later corner blocks to back legs, caning broken; one side chair with old bored hole to front rail formerly with a screw to front right leg, later tenons to front right leg and back right leg at joins with right side rail, two later corner blocks to front legs; one side chair with old repaired break to left stile, slight separation to legs at joins with seat rails, caning broken; one chair with caning broken; one chair with two plugs to front left leg at join with seat rail, caning broken.
