Condition
Very good restored condition, later gilded, back legs to one possibly replaced, formerely with casters, some feet tipped; because of fresh gilding it is impossible to determine replacements, later corner blocks; minor chips to gilding.

Inspired by a Louis XV model in the Rococo taste, this pair of giltwood bergères is similar to a pair, probably Irish and previously at Carton, Co. Kildaire, illustrated, The Knight of Glin and James Peill, Irish Furniture, 2007, p. 130, fig. 176.
