shallow circular openwork bowl mounted with a central enamel medallion painted with a partly draped figure of Venus and Cupid, surrounded by six plique-à-jour roundels of foliage and fruit, spaced by cabochon amethysts, the rim mounted with six rams' heads, all raised on red marble triform base, festooned with flowers and with hoof feet
