Sotheby's London, May 3, 2006, lot 134
Condition
Overall good condition. The brass portions of the sconces with scattered surface scratches, spots of oxidation, minor discolorations and some nicks, which are all consistent with age and use. The painted metal portions with discoloration evident in the catalogue illustration. Also with scratches, chips and rubbing to paint. Some of the losses to paint have been overpainted with a slightly more beige color. The glass is slightly blue/green in tone and with minor surface scratches and few minute edge chips. Lacking wiring, and therefore Sotheby's has not tested the electrical stability of the sconces. Appears to be currently configured for European currency.
