Condition

Rubbing and chipping to surfaces notably at corners and highpoints. Dryness to wood overall. Minor losses to wood and metal inlays. All four of the drop finials that suspend under the seat with cracking and losses. Parchment of seat with a series of cracks. The crack section to the center back of the seat comprising a series of cracks that have merged to a tear which exposes the stuffing, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The front three cracks to the proper right corner have undergone restoration and have been stabilized. Another stabilized crack the emerges from the proper back left corner. Lower register of the seat back with a series of holes and likely decorative fringe. Minor chip losses to the smaller drop finials under the arms. Minor rubbing to the painted decorative scheme.
