Condition

The edges of the work are worn due to frame abrasion. The upper edge and upper left corner have sustained some damage resulting in paint loss. There are further spots of paint loss, one within the upper left, and several in the upper right quadrant. Held in a wooden frame with a hessian slip. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals spots of retouching to the left edge.
