Condition
There are two minor scratches directly below the sitter's left eye, and two towards the lower edge. The surface of the work is slightly dirty and would benefit from a professional clean. The canvas is slack. Held in a gilt wood and plaster frame.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
