Condition
There are various diagonal hairline cracks running across the paint surface to the upper edge, right edge, and the centre of the work. The edges of the work bear minor chips and dents. Under glass and held in a grey wooden frame, and mounted on fine hessian. Unexamined out of its frame. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
