Condition
There are various fine cracks across the surface of the work. The work has been chipped and there is an area of craquelure surrounding the chip within the lower left quadrant, this appears to have been caused by an impact to the reverse. There is a spot of staining within the upper left quadrant. The surface of the work is dirty and would benefit from a professional clean. There are passages of rich impasto throughout the work. Held in a simple gilt, white wooden frame. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
