Condition

There is an area of craquelure towards the upper edge especially within the sky, although the surface is stable. There are some fine hairline cracks towards the lower edge. The surface of the work is dirty and would benefit from a professional clean. Held in a wooden frame with a hessian slip and a white inlay. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals patches of retouching towards, and to the upper edge, the lower right edge, to the left wall and row of houses.
