Condition
The edges of the canvas are worn and have some minor cracks and chips. There are two lines of surface dirt to the lower left and right edges, and a patch towards the centre of the left edge. Otherwise the work appears to be in good condition throughout with passages of rich impasto. Held in a wooden frame. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
