Acquired by the parents of the present owner, possibly from Kettle's Yard, Cambridge in the 1970s.

The canvas is in original condition. There is a tiny hole in the upper left quadrant. The canvas undulates slightly in the corners. The paint surface is in good overall condition. There is no sign of retouching under ultra-violet light. Held behind glass in the original silver spray painted frame.
