Condition
The work is on wove paper which has not been laid down. The sheet is very lightly adhered to the backboard along the edge in the upper right quadrant. There are adhesive tape stains along all but the upper edges. The upper edge has been stained by a separate piece of adhesive that previously attached the sheet to the backboard. The sheet undulates across the surface. There are small creases across the surface of the sheet, particularly in the centre of the upper edge. The edges of the sheet have been stained by the mount. The surface of the sheet has traces of dirt.
There appears to be a small watercolour stain in the lower right quadrant but this may be the work of the artist.
There is no sign of retouching under ultra-violet light.
Held under glass in a gilded frame.
