Purchased from the artist by Charles Brasch, New Zealand poet and patron of the arts;
Gifted by him to his friends, Professor Frederick Page and his wife the artist Evelyn Page on the occasion of their marriage, April 1938, and thence by descent to the present owner

 

Condition

The board is slightly bowed. The paint surface is in good overall condition. There is no sign of retouching under ultra-violet light. Held in a simple painted rectilinear frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 5381 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
