Condition

The work is on wove paper which has not been laid down. The sheet undulates very slightly. The left edge of the sheet is slightly uneven. There are three artist's pinholes, one in the upper left quadrant and two in the upper right quadrant. The upper left corner has a tiny loss although this might be the original condition of the sheet. There are two horizontal indentations to the sheet, one in the upper left and one in the upper right corner. The upper edge of the sheet shows signs of intermittent staining. Areas of the sheet are slightly smudged and the upper and right sides of the sheet appear slightly dirty although this appears to be the work of the artist. Held behind glass and within a cream mount in a simple rectilinear wooden frame. Unexamined out of the frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 5381 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
