Condition

The board is slightly worn in the corners and there is a tiny loss along the left edge. There is a horizontal line of indentation just above the centre of the board. This may be a crack. There is a faint crack to the board, approximately 8cm. in length, in the lower left quadrant. There is another tiny crack in the upper right quadrant and another in the upper left quadrant. The paint surface is affected by the cracks mentioned above but otherwise it is in good overall condition. There is no sign of retouching under ultra-violet light. Held under perspex in a painted wooden rectilinear frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 5381 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
