Condition

The canvas is slack and would benefit from re-stretching. There are areas of craquelure and paint seperation throughout much of the work , this has caused some blistering and minor paint loss. There is a repaired hole towards the lower left edge. Held in a gilt wood and plaster frame. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals patches of retouching to the repaired hole and to the right arm of the figure.
