There is a repaired hole visible from the back of the canvas. There are artist's pinholes in all four corners of the work, although these were probably made by the artist during the creation of the work. There is a spot of staining to the lower edge ans some surface dirt. Held in a gilt wooden frame. Inspection under ultravolet light reveals areas of retouching in the trees and foreground.
