Condition

Work rilined. From a first hand inspection there are three small losses between the boats and the sea. An horizontal line, probably due to a fold, is visible in the middle of the composition. This line can be restored removing the lining. The ultra violet light reveals fluorescent varnish homogeneously spread over the surface and some retouches over the yellow tent (cm 8x4) and over the objects in the shadow under the tent (the largest cm 5x4). Those retouches are visible also at first hand inspection because a little reddish. In the sky, over the tent's tip, there is another retouch (cm 6x4) more or less bright probably because of the presence of original pigment underneath. It is suggested a careful cleansing to remove all the dust. The overall condition as to the state of preservation is quite good.

Catalogue Note
